Soon my Honda CG 125- BR will hit 30,000 miles, whats the highest expected from a Cg 125 ?

mine was on about 55k (even if the clocks didn't show it )when I sold it, just kept up with the oil changes. The new owner put a new set of rings in it to stop it from burning so much oil, but aside from that it was fine.

I have heard from a number of different people that if looked after they should go round the clock without needing any serious mechanical work

Properly looked after (which most aren't), CG125s go for about 75,000 miles. This is mostly due to having so little power and an OHV motor

Mines done 224000 miles.

Probably had a top end rebuild at some point, but it's still going strong

It was seriously in need of a new frame because it was rusty as feck (and written off....)

Keep changing the oil regularly, check the valve clearances, filters and all that jazz and it'll keep running like a sweety

CG's are much like any other mainstream bike, look after it, service it and change the consumables at appropriate times and it'll keep going strong. Neglect it and it'll go pop quicker, same goes for cars.

There's this big stigma ype thing surrounding bikes that says over 30k the bike is knackered. It's complete rubbish. That said for the people who are not silly enough to beleive the hysteria we get benefit from 'High Mileage' bikes that end up nice and cheap
