Remove top yoke CBR125R

I have a CBR125RW6 (2006 CBR125R) that I need to get the top yoke off (needs the ignition barrel removed/replaced).

I have the handlebars off, the centre retaining nut off, and the clamp bolts on the yoke are loosened... but it won't move.

Am I missing something?

I understand that the ignition barrel probably has shear bolts on it (in fact almost certainly, because I can't see any heads on them), but that's not an issue at the moment - I have the tools to get these off anyway.

You need to have the steering lock disengaged or it will not move.

The Ignition barrel can be removed once the top yoke is off, its just a couple of screws. you will not need to remove the plate holding the barrel in place.

Had to do the same job on my CBR125R

If you've got the bars off, I presume you've removed the snap-rings from the grooves in the top of the fork stanchions? Have you tried spraying a bit of GT85 or similar around where the stanchions go through the yoke?
