okay so i've had my bike (2010 ybr 125) for about 2 months now and im bored of it already, looking to do my test and upgrade to something with some more poke, any advice?

as long as you know it was useless haha. im only 17 1/2 so i cant do my das, just wondering how much experience i'd need before taking the test

I'm still on a 125. I'm bored of it all ready. I mean, I love the riding, I just dislike the slow speed.

I've got my theory booked at the end of this month. Hopefully try and get my license done before the end of this year.

I'd just say take it seriously. Concentrate loads and ride well. Hopefully you'll pass your test and then be able to do whatever you like!

good luck with your theory, im looking at booking mine asap. i love it when i'm on it but i had a r6 pull up next to me at the lights and blitzed me (predictable) so i just want something more respectable, preferably something that can beat my brothers 1.6 golf

I've only just done my CBT and my bikes not ready yet to take out so I can't really comment on doing your full test but my plan is/always has been to ride the 125 until I start finding it slow/boring which I'm hoping will mean I have enough confidence/experience to do my full test and get something bigger.

it doesn't feel slow until you begin to realise how much faster you could be going. just remember that confidence and experience are very different things

Mate you just need to start seeing how much you can push your bike to make it more exciting. I had my 05 plate YBR and still had a laugh with it after 8 months.. true I was bored of the limited speed but trying to go into corners as banked over as possible made it more fun. Got to the point where I would lean over so much that the pegs would ping off the floor.

There's always ways of making it fun.. i.e. finding stupid short cuts around the place... or just go on a long run to somewhere 5 hours away and camp for the night. Spice it up, you will fall in love with your bike more and more. Then when something eventually goes wrong and you fix it yourself you won't want to get rid of it.

Well that's me talking from my own personal experience. I do miss my YBR.

i did the same in the corners, the bottom of my pegs are scratched to shit haha. i was thinking about going on a long journey but i've been busy with college work, may take your advice
