I can't believe people involve the old bill. Get round there with some mates and break the thieving fuckers' hands so badly they can't use them again. Ever.

That looks to be a great result or my more suspicious mind thinks that beerman knew who they were and realised it was someone off the forum.

The OP makes the topic on Friday, beerman does a search on the registration and makes a post on Saturday. It's possible that it showed up in a Google search so quickly but still, I'm just allot more suspicious of things than most people.

If it was sheer co-incidence, then that is amazing.

If you Google the Reg number it is the first result now so it probably wouldn't have taken too long to find.

Websites get cached by Google in minutes these days, so there's no reason why it won't show up straight away!

It's not easy to say it without looking like a keyboard warrior, but if it were me, I and a few of my friends would have lain in wait for the little fuckers and made sure they wouldn't be pinching it again.

As it is, it looks like they've got away with it scott free, no lessons have been learned. They'll be out nicking somebody else's pride and joy as soon as they notice it's gone.

great thread.

I dont remember seeing a stolen bike thread before where someone had posted their reg. Seems a good idea.

I had a scooter stolen a few years ago, and I didnt think to post the reg on a forum, in case someone googled it.

Having said that, if any pond life ever touched my old warhorse RXS, I would burn their faces off with acid, no question. And then make them drink it.

Same way my MZ 250 got returned to me.

Maurice off this forum PM'd me on here pointing me to a thread on visordown where a guy had found a stolen MZ in Bristol.

I managed to get his phone number, gave him a call and it turns out to be mine. I consider the guy a mate to this day.

I'm not sure if I've mis-read the posts (I'm nackered) but didn't the owner say that when he got his bike back the numberplate had been manipulated "with some strategically placed black tape to disguise the numbers" ?

If this is the case, how did the guy (beeman) find that thread about the stolen bike if the reg number he seen was different to the real number?

I guess they could of rode it around for a while before changing the numbers, but surely they would of done that first thing?
