A NightClub Fire

I have seen all sorts on the internet over time,this i came across the other night randomly whilst wasting time on youtube. The video in its self is not that graphic it does illustrate how fast things can really get out of control though.

It would not have been that catastrophic if it were not for the health and safety violations,petrolium based sound proofing foam and a ceiling painted with tar the main exit was a fucking death trap and most people tried to go out the way they came in.

If they did not start to leave within 30 seconds of the fire starting they were dead or badly injured,100 people never made it out at all and 150 were injured,the main exit very rapidly become a human pile up with person on top of person no one could get out and soon after the fire took them alive.

Oddly enough this was all caught on film by a reporter doing a film on nightclub safety..nothing good will come to you by watching this video(hear people screaming as they burn etc), i post it as it will make you think.

The chances of something like this happening in you uk are slim as our health and safety regs are top notch,if it were to though i know i would not have stood a chance,in fact i have been in many clubs and was not aware of the way i came in never mind how to get back out in a rush .

In future i will be taking the hole 60 seconds it takes to make my self aware of those golden fire doors.
