Gear sticking in neutral?

Hey all, I have a problem with my bike for some reason it sticks on neutral and wont go down to gear one? But it only happens very rarely? What do you think it could be?

Try adjusting the clutch cable and possibly the gear lever.

Also check the oil see if it needs changing and check the oil level.

If it happens (used to happen more on the older bikes I used to ride and the school bikes when doing my DAS) I found letting the clutch out just to the start of the biting point would cause a 'clunk' and then you could shift gears again.

Not a permanent solution but if you find yourself stopped at red lights and can't get down into first that's what you should do.

Thanks mate thats a good suggestion ill try that if it happens again, luckily it has never happened when i am on a busy road so i have have time to mess about lol but really i need it sorted out!

So if anyone knows how to stop it so i can save some money by not taking it the garage that would be great!

Check the slack in your drive chain. If it's tight, it'll make changing gear difficult.
