here is a pic off my latest purches i paid £300 for her about 3 weeks ago and since then done rear wheel bearing, fork seals and turned font tyre round .......

this is my other bike witch i have had for two years and use daily. ive sent alot of money on this one since i have owned it mainly on barrels and pistons but also done all brakes fork seals etc . i love this bike as it is very quick for its age 85mph standard ..

nice yamaha, i got those headlights too but took them off as theyr no good for when i used to ride in the dark

i agree mate the lights are shit in the dark cause it shines up through the clocks and you cant see. im thinking of getting some ufo ones but not sure yet .....

i made a metal housing that went arround the lights, it did help but not a mass ammount. They start over heating too easily as well, start smoking lol

they are only little lights you can find in desk lights so are no good for road use, no doubt you would fail an MOT with them too as you have no high beam

its all for show, theyr ok during day time but like you know, crap at night.

they were ok in mot cause it does have high beam and side lights are the little leds on rad pannenls but will be changing them. need to sort the rear end out aswell cause that is a right bodge in my eyes...

will take some more pics for u tomorrow when finish work, well i plan on getting new rear fender and tail light then mouting inicators proply as they look f**kin hidius atm , some proper road legal nobblies to get me throgh winter then in summer when i have the garage below my flat will strip it and rebuild it ie powde coat frame rebuild engine etc.....

sounds like a nice little project, and don't go for road knoblies as such i had some and they were crap on my 125 mtx.

i don't know the name of the tyres i got now but i got them new (rear tyre) for about £28 for the back only and its chunky but not exactly off roady and it looks nice and its excellent grip too.

will try and find the name out for you but i think if you converted it into a super motard looking bike it would be great lol

Knobbly tyres are great for off-road, but terrible on road.

They may help slightly in gravel and will be better in the snow, but in the wet and icy they will be a lot worse, as well as in good conditions - where you want more rubber in contact with the road, rather than a lot less!

yea that would be great if you can find the make out for me as for super moto not really my think as i do a lot of off road stuff mainly mud ect but hopefully ive sold the nsf for £750 which is going to pay for my bike test then i will get a xr 400 when i can afford it and a zx7 or 9 for summer .......

wish i knew more about bikes before i got mine but ah well, mines took alot of hastle and still runs good.

once my insurance is sorted out i will try and do mine up a bit.

your rear mudguard has alot of holes in it :S

as for the tyres on mine it just says: Vee Rubber (followed by numbers etc for tire dimensions etc)

as said, i get excellent grip on my bike (honda mtx 125) and instantly felt more confident when cornering and feel like i can make the bike lean that little bit further with full control surprised at the price of them too.

I got a DTR for £550 and thought that was a bargain. Great fun bikes. Ideal on roads ravaged by two hard winters
