Posts not marked as read

Hi

Not sure if it is just me, but quite often at the moment reading a post doesn't result in it being marked as read. So next time I click to read the unread posts in that thread it takes me to the post that was last unread when I logged on.

A bit of a pain. But will be rather more of a pain if I then have to page forward a few times when the page sizes have shrunk.

It hasn't been a major problem since yesterday. Happened on 1~2 threads but that's it. Not sure if Korn changed anything, or whether me manually clicking "mark all threads as read" has reset something.

I've had it consistently for some time now. Would it possibly be a cookie problem? Either way, it's bloody irritating.

Don't think it is a cookie issue, but Korn has done some playing in the area of which posts are marked as read. Bcf used to try and only mark posts as read when you had done so, rather than all posts when you logged off but this was hammering BCF.

ACtually - slight addendum - it's not the posts that are having trouble being marked as read, it's the forums as/when I've read the whole thing. Individual posts are now fine.

I have noticed this as well for a couple of posts. More annoyingly I find that a lot of posts get marked as read way before I get a chance to look at them. Granted sometimes I used to come on and have 2 pages of random banter marked as un-read, but I find it more annoying to go in and only see about 6 posts marked as un-read..

Getting this occasionally. Also got the odd post that doesn't recognise as being a "watched" thread, even when I KNOW I've clicked to follow it.

...I wonder, would using different PC's (home and work) make a difference, even though I'm logged on with my own user name at each PC??
