You know the one's who sit with the back of the van doors open, with a camera on a tripod thing?

I just came round a corner at 40 and I think it was a 30, it's an odd one because the speed limit changes right near the corner.

Good thing is, it was pointing towards me and I came round the corner going towards it. All they will have it a picture of a black bike, me in all black with a blacked out visor as well. Nothing they can do is there?

Look round as you pass and write down your registration plate.

All the best

And prove it how? He was in the back of one of them vans, like sitting inside it, very much doubt he had time to scribble my reg down as he would of had to of got out and done it and I was looking behind me.

He was probably concentrating more on the dude in the red corsa flooring it behind me.

I'm an idiot, I need to stop getting caught by them speed cameras!

Hi

Probably could just look through the front window of the van. Registration written down like this to go with a scamera photo is accepted in court.

And some now have cameras to catch on video the plates of bikes as they pass.

All the best

Keith

Is this the same sort of van that caught you doing 60 in a 30?

They can turn around and write your plate down, yes.

I slammed on as I can round the corner, I don't even know how fast I was going and I trundled past at just below 30 and past it out of sight.

I'm such an unlucky twat!

If anything does come of it, I will argue the toss on this one because there was a red corsa up my arse as I came round the corner, I would take it to court and say, "Well, the beam spread is quite wide and on a bike, with a car right behind me who was deffo speeding, it could arguably have caught him instead".

Anyway, not worrying about it, I have more important things to worry about than fucking speed cameras again.

Your joking, they will have got your number and as Keith says most have CCTV cameras on the front and side of the van for just for moty bikes.

You would`nt catch me crying any tears if one of those caught fire, trapping the operator inside Twisted Evil

Think again. Many people have been caught be them taking the photo from the front then reading the plate once they have passed.

This is what I'm worried about!

The guy in the red corsa was right up my arse for about 1/2 a mile and as I approached that bend, I came round it and saw the van, I instantly slammed on the brakes and I assume the corsa dude must have too.

I maintained 30mph or just below as I cam up to the van and I saw the operator focusing the camera up the road, I don't know if he was going for me or the corsa.

I passed the van and carried on at just under 30mph until out of sight. (Of course I carried on within the speed limit for my entire journey!).

Just have to wait and see. Still not heard anything back about the other 61 in a 30 I got caught for in April. I sent the NIP back saying it was me riding but nothing has come of it yet...

Eugh, if you carried on at the speed limit for the rest of the journeys that means cameras do work at stopping speeding.
Not easy to convince anyone that stopping speeders is a unimportant endeavour.

Errr... Sorry but you can't.
You should slow down when someone tailgates you. Not floor it...

If he was tail gaiting you, and did it on the approach to the cam too, your best bet is if he was close enough to obscure the camera/bloke getting a view of your full plate...
You either need to slow down, or learn where the mobile cams sit locally...
