"Batters"?
"Kicking arse"?
He was 0.4 and 0.8 seconds faster. Good for him, but let's not get into a frenzy over it. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

0.8 a lap over a race would mean winning by about 20 seconds, I'd call that kicking ass ____________________ Yamaha FZR400RR 3tj

No I don't, but as I said - good for him. In my book 0.4 and 0.8 seconds difference is "fucking close", not "battered". "Battered" would be something like 10% faster, not 0.5% ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

But top level racing is so close that to be 10% faster would be almost impossible.
I don't even think the MotoGP riders are 10% a lap faster then the 125GP bikes on a tight track. ____________________ Yamaha FZR400RR 3tj

Put it this way Shaggy, it's probably the difference of five places (or so) on the grid. When the bloke you've done that to almost won the world title last year, it's not insignificant. 10% doesn't happen between top rider (especially when one has been retired for two years!), everything is dealt with in fractions of seconds. In fact, 10% slower than pole position would have put you slower than the 34th (and last placed) rider at this year's BSB Brands Hatch round... |

0.4 seconds doesnt alot but its massive in racing terms and im soo gutted he's not coming back form retirement.
I personally think Fabrizio is ruining that team, he has no team ethics and only cares for his own results as shown last year.
I rekon the factory made the team keep him which caused alot of upset in the team which is why they left for BMW. ____________________ Dean Stone #777
