I've done it a few times and always buggered off. I imagine I'd stop if something snapped though.

Apropos of nothing really. Yesterday I was in a local village and a young boy on a bicycle had moved to the middle of the road to turn right out of a junction. It was a quiet road, not at all busy, did the hand signals and all the rest. A woman cut the corner and clipped his handlebars with her wing mirror then had the cheek to scream out her window at the poor boy for 'being in the middle of the road'...

Stupid cow.

Thumbs Up

knocked one once and buggered off.

was rolling to the front of a traffic queue and the silly bint moved to try to block me.. problem was, i was next to her at the time so my wing mirror knocked hers. one glance and a disapproving headshake from me and i continued.

Happens a lot on the A3 into London.. always tailbacks on that road in the morning and it's inevitable that your going to clip some mirrors. I just ignore them and carry on my way. However if someone else knocks them on their bike in front of me, then I'll stop and adjust it as I'm going past for some good karma.

Not yet.

I really try and avoid filtering through narrow gaps. My craven cowardice knows no bounds.

Option one: About twice.
Option two:
I was going around the outside of a line of moving traffic on a corner leading up to some traffic lights, I was on a rented bike.
Traffic was oncoming and I over compensated which resulted in me hitting a Sabb's wing mirror with my elbow,
The lights were red and the Driver (with a family packed car) asked me to pull over and exchange details.

There was a scuff on the mirror, obviously not caused by myself which I pointed out to him, as it was on the casing side and whatnot.
He said he'd find out the cost of a repair and wished me a safe journey...
I never heard from him again.
I still to this day don't really know why I stopped.

Moral of the story: Don't stop, it's pointless.

Yes.

When squeezing through traffic in my car I've hit a few bike mirrors and fairings. Luckily, other peoples mirrors are consumables so as far as I'm concerned it's not my problem Smile
