Barely anything. We got asked minimum and maximum speed limit signs, a bit of who has right of way. Really simple stuff, common sense will see you through it. No need to study intensely for it.

Took mine last year and can't remember them asking me anything to be honest. He made me read a number plate and shouted at me for not cancelling indicators lol.

It won't hurt you to keep doing the free biker theory test online as it will come in handy when you decide to do your test.

I never got asked anything lol. I read a number plate, was thrown on a bike, went out on the road and was brought back. I was shown some pictures of road rash, was told to wear proper gear and given my certificate.

Do you know the theory, it obviously helps to know it lol. I'm assuming if they do ask you anything it won't be anything mega solid.

They actually went through the more relevant bits of the highway code when I had mine, rather than testing.

We discussed the very relevent parts of the code such as give way etc and it was recommended that we read it but we weren't tested.

It's a CBT not a bike test.

I seem to remember being asked to read a number plate right before we were taken out on the road, but that was about it.
We were shown/talked thru everything else

Try and have some basic idea of how to behave on the road before they take you on it. Nobody expects you to know every last intricacy of the Highway Code (Hell, 99% of instructors don't - including me ) but you must have a basic idea of what to do.

Put simply, if it's obvious to me that someone I take out on the road hasn't got a clue about the basics, ie. giving way to the right at a roundabout, then they get brought back to site immediately. It's not safe for them for me to do anything else.

Little machine control cock ups aren't an issue to me - complete lack of awareness is. Imagine 22 people trying to play a game of football when no one knew what the rules were...

Have a little read through it - try and get a friend/parent/guardian/whatever to take you out in a car a few times prior to the CBT and talk you through what they're doing and why.
