i have a derbi senda extreme, all thats done to it at the mo is derestricted by factory, and some fancy red bits.. all im gettin is 40/43mph,

i was wondering what the best performance exhaust is, one that sits in the same place as original, not underslung,

i have also bought a 14t sprocket, so with this and a new pipe should i get better speed?

also when i buy a new pipe will i have to re-jet? or not because my bike is already de-restricted?

thanks.

you will need to rejet if you change the exhaust...

when derestricted it should have a 15tooth front sprocket..
thats probably why your only getting 40mph out of it... Rolling Eyes

I have a standard derbi senda extreme, just de-restricted and it just about goes off the clock 50+ and thats with a 14tooth sprocket so im guesing thats the speed problem

As for exhausts I think metrakit do one, and im pretty sure you'll need to upjet it

Thumbs Up

you have been told what should be done already on the standard derestriction, we derestrict these bikes and gpr50's rs50 aswell all are derestricted in the same way that me and cheekythomas have told you in you last thread all do 50mph+ so obviously something is not right with the way they/you have derestricted it....

I bought the bike de-restricted so I havnt got a clue. The only de-restriction on the bike is in the exhaust that I know of. And it's running a 11t sprocket.

Yes if its been derestricted to the spec from Derbi, it should have a different front sprocket as its massively down geared when restricted.

You should have a 105main jet, GA210 atomiser tube, A22 needle on middle notch, the exhaust resonator pipe removed and blanked, the washer in the downpipe removed, a 15t front sprocket fitted, and the carb plate removed.

if you only have an 11t front sprocket it has not been derestricted properly, so it is worth checking all of these 1st chap

Only thing i know is that the washer in the exhaust was drilled out... and i have a 14t sprocket on the way...

i tried removing the carb plate but the bike ran like shit so put it back inn...

i dont know what the GA210 atomiser tube and A22 needle is so i dont know about them..

but ive just ordered a polini race pipe, and a Main jet...

The carb originally is a 17.5mm dellorto... if your running a standard barrel you dont want a race orientated exhaust as it wont start making power until the standard barrels power is running out, meaning it will be gutless, and just start to accelerate as it then runs out of revs... meaning youll be redlining it anywhere and everywhere, which will just kill the poor thing...

... you want a more midrange exhaust system, designed to be used on the standard barrel. Gianelli, Technigas etc all do them.

The polini is a awesome pipe, but requires a much higher revving barrel.

You need to get your carb sorted before doing anything else, get the main jet, atomizer and needle, fit them and remove the plate and itll go much better as it is...

1) undo the carb bowl and undo the main jet
2) undo the screw at the top ond take out the throttle slider tube
you will see the needle attatched to the bottom of that.
3) you will see a small brass tube that the needle goes through.
4) from the top of the carb push it out with a small allen key
5) on the side of the tube it will have a number
