I passed my test at the start of the month and for my sins of being interested at bikes a little too young , I'm stuck with the 33bhp restriction. I haven't got a great deal of money to play with, but I've taken a liking to the YX600 Radian. They seem to go cheap (when they appear, but that's another story) and I love the style. I've looked at the Fi International site and they don't have a kit for one, probably because it was never sold here. Using the search on thes site I've seen suggestions to make homebrew restrictions for bikes but often these seem to be getting an engineering place to make copies of Fi washers. Since this isn't an option on the YX, could I restrict the bike without washers being available? and if so how? |

Make your own washers.
You can measure the diameter of the inlet tract and get an engineering place to make you up some washers with varying size holes in the middle. Then you can take it to a dyno, and see which, if any of the washers give you less than 33bhp. ____________________ My Flickr |
