Do it in Tippex and see if you like it.

Thread answering your question + more

P.s. Guess how long it took me to think of those key words.
Answer is in seconds and a 1 digit number as a hint.

I did it on my scooter. Looked the shit.

Tried doing it on my TZR but the pen was a couple of years old and it was very gloopy.

It used to be de rigueur to pen your tyres when I were a lad in the 1980s Laughing You wouldn't be seen in public on your 350LC/Powervalve unless your Michelins were tyre penned white Cool

It somehow suits some bikes...but on others it looks a bit shit LOL

Saw a Fireblade in our street this morning that had Bridgestone tyres with white lettering. I thought it looked quite good, personally...

Also just by coincidence I already have a white lettering pen that I bought from fleabay some months ago, but hadn't used it. I wanted a better idea of what it might look like on my bike, but after seeing that black and yellow blade today, I think I might join the club when I get some spare time..

When I was a kid, my favourite Matchbox cars were the ones with white lettering on the 'tyres'.

This may, or may not, be the related to the fact that I know I am going to get one of these pens (probably off ebay after a couple of tins) and do the tyres on my bike at some point. I hate pointless tat generally, no coloured valve caps, anodised bolts, union flag tank protectors or anything like that get anywhere near my bike but I have a strange desire to pen the tyres.

I'm thinking about writing the PSI on the tyres next to the valves. I keep forgetting the Bridgestone readjusted values.

Why not write it on the rim in tippex?

The tyre pen I used smelt exactly the same as Tipp-Ex.
