Is stat's ever likely to work again?

Since Korn's doing all this work is stats ever likely to be active again, or is it not possible on the new implementation/ forum simply too large?

I believe long ago it was suggested that most of them could be calculated with a CRON job, meaning you got the majority of the interesting stuff with relatively little load on the server.
