A bit panicky - earlier in town i went the wrong way down a one way street for about five metres to get to the bike parking, otherwise i'd have to have gone in a longer loop to get to it. It was a bit silly to be honest, I should have just gone the normal way.

My concern is there was one of those moving cctv cameras on a post which probably saw me.

I've already got three points and im a new driver so im quite worried - apparently you can get points for this?!

Has anyone else been caught on cctv and then fined/given points for going the wrong way down a one way street?

Cheers guys!

Don't worry about it. Worry if they send you a NIP through the post. No point in fretting.

5 metres? Doubtful. They might be more strict with failing to observe a no entry.

I personally don't think they would, but i'm no expert.

If they did it would be "TS50" which would be 3 points.

It could just be a private camera.

I'd guess if anything did come through it'd just be a local council fine thing, like those for bus lanes.

In April me and the Mrs went down a no entry, one way, buses only street in Cheltenham town centre while on a hung over ride back from a wedding party, basically she went and I had no choice but to follow or lose her. We were expecting something through the post but nothing came.

It'll probably be alright.

Danny got done for turning around in the wrong end of a one way street. He probably didn't go any further than a metre or so. He did get spotted immediately by a traffic car though IIRC.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I've gone the wrong way down a one way street 5 times a week for the last 3 years with no problems, I once met a copper half way down told them I was lost and they let me off.

nah its in Bristol in town, near the parking for broadmead if that means anything? Next to panache and syndicate.

Opposite a police station unfortunately, I just hope the CCTV goes into some council office and not into the station!
