Sorry for the horrible title beginning, a chance to use it!

Was travelling along a straight road, rolled to traffic lights, they turnt green.

As I pulled away, I was aslongside a car and she pulled into my lane without looking. This forced me towards the central reservation, grinding me on it and subsequently spitting me and the girlfriend off the bike down the road.

GF got abrasions + a bit of emotional trauma, I came off with 3 crushed fingers, HI-RICEing them. Smile.

Grrrrrr I hate idiots like her it's happened to me twice this week and both were women Rolling Eyes Glad you're both ok though any chance you could take matters further? A nice conviction of dangerous driving should make her more careful after she gets her renewal quotes Laughing

That wouldn't come near the threshold for dangerous driving - could maybe get a cheeky careless driving if he chose to report it.

Welsh, my handlebar + indicator is what she hit, it starts so far back because I was next to her rear seats when she started moving into my lane.

Christ, some people really should not be allowed anywhere near that steering wheel! Let's hope she doesn't even think about counter-claiming against you. Lucky it didn't happen in a 70 zone or something! GWS you and your missus! Thumbs Up Karma

i'm to lazy to use the shift key, hence no capital i,
so disregarding that, and the phonetic spelling of upon,
really i'm down a couple of points, at least it wasn't in txt speak Mr. Green

"HI-RICE" - Hydration, Ibuprofen, Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation

Works well with in combination with tea and sympathy. Or coffee and TV.

Either that or his chinese takeaway has some 'special' ingredients.

A loud exhaust and a really fast getaway would have prevented this. lol

At least the woman stopped and it's going your way. I have heard of to many accidents where people do off.

Sorry to hear about this one, glad you've both walked about with scuffs though and nothing much more serious.

Always wonder if anyone checks blind spots post test in cars

I done my bike test first, then a few years later my car test. When changing lanes i'd check mirror and do a shoulder check. I had serious issues with my instructor when he said doing a shoulder check takes too much time and shouldn't be done. When people teach this kind of shite its no wonder accidents happen a lot.

I'd done a 3 day crash course of lessons to get up to scratch, I then jumped in with the examiner. He looked at my pink license, said, ah what bike you got then? Spent my car test going round talking about bikes and passed, the examiner had no issue with me doing shoulder checks either Laughing
