Brought a yamaha diversion 6 but very dull??

It's an extremely boring ride, brought it after my 250 and I must say I had more fun riding the 250! Can anyone recommend anything I can do to the bike to make it more exciting or point me in the direction of a bike slightly more fun to ride?

No really - they ARE dull as dirt but they are also easy, comfortable, cheap and forgiving to ride. If you need a frugal commuter they are ideal but 'excitin' they ain't'.

Research first is the key. Searching this site for "diversion AND boring" comes up with 16 hits, all of which are pertinant.

I had one as a courtesy bike once. Couldn't wait to get back on my GPZ500.

Let the back tyre down and take it on the twisties. Had a rear puncture years back on my old ls125 and had to ride it 30 miles home.
Was bloody good fun with the back end trying to overtake me. Didn't half get the adrenalin pumping

A good naked bike?
Start with a SPORTS 600/750/1000.

Hammer off the fairings, flip the clip ons and put a 60tooth rear sprocket on it.

Trust me.

Oi come on now, I'm a divi rider!
You must be doing something wrong, you need to remember to get the revs high and keep em there. I took it round wales with 13 others. Mine is restricted to 33bhp and i was able to I was able to keep up with all the others and stay well ahead of a couple of members of the group on unrestricted bikes.

Definitely not the prettiest bike, but I think I had the least aches after the weekend.

Hi

Afraid another vote for a Divvy being a boring bike to ride. The engine just gave no incentive at all to rev it. Handling was quite nice and neutral, and while the brakes weren't great they were adequate. Seat was comfy and if you got it wound up to speed on the motorway it was fine for doing distances. Just back lanes were boring.

It was more fun riding an Aprilia RS50 back for a neighbours son, despite that having an exhaust loud enough to make me cringe.
