Hello,

Does anyone know an insurance company in UK which specialises in bikes from china or korea? I have bought a YUAN renegade 125cc and cannot find the list on the different insurance companies website's such as gocompare.com, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Ebs

bikesure seem to cover most.

Anyway it will have exploded/rusted away before you ride it for the first time.

Thank you for letting me know about the insurance company. I shall give them a try. The bike has not exploded or rusted away as I have tried it on private land and it rides perfect.

Rampdale will do it, for a spifingly low price to actually as Ive checked out insurance on a number of bikes and its all quite low- they even insure in NI as well.

I got my chinese 125 insured through Bikesure, and at a reasonable price.

BTW, I'm riding a 5 year old chinese bike that got me from Liverpool to the Farmyard rally and back with no problems, so they're not all bad...

If the bike isn't in the data-base, dont mean they WONT insure it, just means you'll need to use olf fasioned communication means and TALk to people via telephone.

The comparison sites ONLY go by the data-bases; go to the individual insurance companies, get thier telephone numbers, call for a quote.

MOST will probably offer to insure you. You just have to tell them what the bike is, becouse they have probably never heard of it, and may never hear of it again, the rate som eof these far eastern makes come and go!

Look at it this way.... if its in thier data-base they have agood idea how many get crashed or stolen so can load the permium.

if they ent ever heard of it, they will either deem you a silly high risk & quote you daft... or they'll figure that no-one want'em even for free.... & no-one crashed them.......and give you a sensible one!

Use the Phone, Fluke chi-Stalker!

this is why nobody will insure a chink bike.

Ins co's won't care if the bike works or not..... All they look at is how higher claim risk it is.

In fact a non working bike is a ins co dream. Laughing
Not being able to rode, means very low risk of claim Rolling Eyes
