...one meal, and one drink to eat/drink every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

And by meal I mean:

- Sunday Lunch
- Spagetti Bolognaise

And by drink I mean anything but water as water is needed regardless.

Thats a hard one.

Mine would have to be some italian meatballs with spaghetti and smothered in melted cheese.

Drink would have to be a bottle of Newky Brown.

Do we not get a dessert. Crying or Very sad

I was thinking about this the other day strangely. Smile

Obviously any meal is going to taste like crap after eating it day after day so it'd be something simple.

I think beans on toast & orange juice.

May sound boring but after a few years you probably wouldn't be able to stomach a full meal.

You can have pudding too.

I'd chose Sunday lunch with all the trimmings as you can get some variety.

Then as a drink it would be a lager from holland called 'the brand'.. Nicest tasting lager I've ever had.

And for desert:

A tub of ben and jerry's fish food.

I think I'd have to go with a full on, no-holds barred Sunday dinner. Selection of meats like beef, pork and chicken etc.. Mint sauce, apple sauce and the like. Yorkshire puddings, carrots, peas, roast taties, mash tatey and some thick gravy made from meat juice.

To wash it down ice-cold Bottles of Desperado.

I'm with Misc in this one, you'd get tired very quickly of the same thing, so simple is best. In this scenario, do we have to worry about a balanced diet, or are we taking vitamin/fibre/whatever pills to make up the deficit? I've mentioned before that I've read somewhere that the simplest nutritionally complete meal is a cheese and cabbage sandwich, which would do me OK, or I'd probably go for something like rice and beans. Since we're already allowed water, I'd go for coffee. Black, one sugar please. For afters/pudding/dessert I'll have a can of fruit cocktail.

Or full English breakfast (2 egg, 3 bacon, 3 sausages, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, fried slice, coffee (2 sugars, with cream), orange juice and toast (buttered, with marmalade)) followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard, and be dead within the year.

Pills for the deficit. This is a question of preference rather than needs.

Good call, mine would be Dolsot Bibimbap with a selection of Banchan - notably various kimchis and namuls.
Dolsot Bibimbap is a mixed dish served in a very hot stone bowl. The dish has a base of rice, various combinations of vegetables and sliced meat, is topped by a very runny fried egg and comes with a pot of chilli sauce. When it's served, you add the chilli sauce, burst the egg yolk and stir everything in together so it continues to cook in the hot bowl.
I know i could eat this everyday, because i did eat it everyday for several months. When i first arrived in Korea, i was very much on the receiving end of a cultural misunderstanding - i've always been brought up to eat everything on my plate, and that finishing everything is a 'complement' to the chef. Not so in Korea, it's considered mildly insulting to leave a clean plate (it suggests the host has not been generous enough in their portions), and i didn't realise that the Banchans would be refilled if finished.
I always eat the stuff i like least first, and save the nicest bits till the end. So, after tasting all the Banchans, i'd polish off my least favourite/disliked ones first - obviously, as soon as i did, the host would bring me more out, so i'd have to finish them off, only to have more brought out, i'd finish them, more would arrive etc etc!

I was always brought up never to leave food, or let any go to waste. That place would probably fuck with my head. So at what point does the host come and bitch slap you for eating all your food?

This refil thing sounds wicked, if I had a fillet steak dinner i'd polish of the steak, get another, polish that off.... ooh look another one. Awesome.

Did this also work with beer?

I defy anyone to eat beans on toast every day and not get tired of it within about two days.

A roast dinner on the other hand is varied enough to cope for perhaps a week before you're driven crazy.

For me the drink would have to be Dr Pepper, and the dessert Cherry Pie and custard.
