Hey guys,

Searching for two games i remember playing when i was a kid.. they weren't anything great but for nostalgia i would like to find them again. Wink

The first was a BattleChess kinda game, but one of the piece types were wizards (pawns i think?) and when you tried to take a piece it would go to a screen animation where it showed you the battle, in this case the wizard would strike the ground with his staff, open a hole and the other piece would drop into oblivion.
I've played Battlechess and thats not it.. any ideas?

The second is a strange one, no idea what the point of the game was but it was 3d and you were on the moon and had 5 different jet-like vehicles in front of you that you could get into and drive about.. pointless yet i remember playing it for some reason.

Karma to anyone who correctly names them... Thumbs Up

That is the oringal 80,s battlechess, red or blue pieces on a black/green board the bishops attack would be to open a hole up to hell were the attacked piece would fall though, still got a emulated copy on my laptop Smile

thats the version i've played yet i was sure it wasn't that... the pieces moved to the squares but then the screen changed to a cinematic sequence?

Perhaps the years have messed my memory then... Question

I have one I remember. You chased this guy around the world to different places. You got close each time but when you got there, there would be a note saying, "oh you just missed me" and a clue as to where you have to go next.

Also an underwater game with maths questions and I remember warp zones.

Was Full Throttle.

Excellent starting part where he pulls one hell of a wheely...and the front wheel goes for a wander.

And The bunnies......................

I used to play the battle chess mentioned in the original post on a £2000 Amstrad. Also played Crystal Maze which was a cracking game.

Ahh, the memories.

No idea for the last game but was the first 'Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?'?

I remember that game...

I didnt start on a Amstrad though, my first console was a Sega Master System and then a Megadrive.

I remember being 'amazed' about the graphics of the Playstation.

Didn't see/play an original spectrum till i was 16 and round a mates house when we decided to blow the dust off it and i sat and played punch and judy i think it was.. Laughing

Remember playing Goldeneye for hours with mates on the N64...

Ahhh nostalgia! Smile
