I have just started downloading these things called 'torrents', all above board and legit *ahem*. I wouldn't dream of illegally downloading copywritten material.

Anyway, I was looking for some blank DVD discs from ASDA and found two different types:

DVD (-) R and DVD (+) R

All the information on the packaging was idential. The only thing differnt was 1 had a plus and the other a minus on the pack.

Anyone know what the difference is ?

Hope these help Thumbs Up

You need to check to see if the writing drive that you are using them in supports either the - or + or both.

The + R is technically a better and a newer specification.

The - R came out first and so is more popular and also the format of normal DVD movies, so if you're burning a movie that's the one you'd want to use.

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?
