RiDE Magazine's CBR600 Day

I got an email a couple of weeks ago about a CBR600 day that RiDE were doing at Santa Pod, all in aid of an article covering the history of the CBR6 and so on. So today, myself and Laura went along.

The deal was free runs on the strip and a free dyno run in return for taking some pictures and doing little interviews. Good day - there was only about 30-40 bikes showed up, a combination of it being a Thursday and the weather looking a bit crap I guess - but every model of CBR was represented.

Cos it was quiet, we were basically doing a run and by the time you'd got back to the start, it was time for another. Nice. Haven't been to Santa Pod on the CBR before (some may remember the last time I went on the CB500 Laughing

) and it was good to give her a bit of a thrashing. Times weren't great, I've done better at Elvington, but I did win a fair amount of the time, not only against older bikes but also against an RR who didn't look too amused. Cool

Quite early in the day everyone was shepherded around to get a big pic of us all lined up at the lights - should look really good. Both myself and Laura did a little interview with a guy from the magazine, looking for soundbites I reckon, nothing too in depth. As I predicted, Poppy was attracting some attention and Laura got dragged off to have some photos taken with her. Bit more dragging, run on the under-reading dyno (got a nice straight line this time, though less bhp than before), a few more runs down the strip and we headed home.

Well good day I had a nice detour on the way their. Rolling Eyes

First time doing dragging. Was a bit annoyed at my stupid dyno poppy was in shame for a while.

Then when the people asked for a photo shoot sat poppy where he asked then he said you stand here which didn't impress me but over all good day :d
