Oldest frame number

Hello all,

I'm not going to post the full VIN for obvious reasons, but my 1990 ZZR400 has a number that ends in 000189 which I assume means it was the 189th built ?

Anyone beat that ?

Possibly the 189th build, but its not just the last numbers which matter. For example at the begining of the VIN it will have the letters /numbers for the specific model followed by the frame number/build.

Well, thats how it is in the car world anyways ( I build Honda's)

My old velo kss model has the number 3006510bg, yet there was only a few hundred ever made.

I bought a crashed RXS100 for spares a few years ago - Y reg, frame number 31J000012. Or the 12th UK model, if you will.

i think my old gsxr was 300 and something. That would make it the 300 and somethingthst gsxr ever. (it was a 1984) Embarassed

Back when my dad was a young chap, he bought a Thruxton Vellocet with an engine number of 'Prototype', he swapped it for a van Rolling Eyes, and the guy who had the bike went on to blow it up that day.
