Bar ends causing throttle problems

I got some bar end mirrors but when I put the bar end on it rests against the grips which means the throttle sticks because of the rubber grips rubbing against the bar ends. Any ideas how to sort this?

Take a scalpel and cut the grip back a bit.

I thought of that but was wondering if there was another way. I'll do that if there's nothing else Thumbs Up

Fit some spacers that will push the bar ends out a bit further, if you don't want to butcher the throttle rubber

I had the same problem when i fitted heated grips to my cbr, fecking dangerous when it sticks, as said above fit some spacers.

My bike went the distance on its side and the bar end pushed up against the throttle and it started sticking. I left it like that for a while as cruise control, doing no handers was quite cool.

I can't remember how it was fixed infact I think my mate Hadies fixed it randomly. Just undo the bar ends a little bit, play with the grip until it feels loose and screw the bar end back on again.
