I always said I wouldnt buy an ipod or an iphone or anything else they tell me I need..

But I crumbled. Now my ipod touch 8gb wont connect to my laptop or itunes anymore Crying or Very sad I used to charge it off my TV, that doesnt work anymore and nothing happens when I connect it to the xbox either.

Ive had my nano working on itunes tonight, I even got an iphone to work on it but nothing for the touch. The following desperate actions have yielded no favourable respone, leading me to the conclusion that it is well and truly goosed.

Tried 3 different leads
Tried numerous ons and offs and resets
Restored PC to a date previous to itunes pissing about with the updates and stuff.
Removed itunes and re-installed
Completely reset the ipod and lost all the data

Now I have a screen asking me to connect to itunes but obviously it wont! Ive contacted the apple service people and im waiting for their wheels to grind to a start.

Any ideas anyone? Its like it doesnt exist when I plug it in! Anyone have experience with apples returns and repairs?

After 3 hours of fecking about Im just glad I cant phone the helpline because Id probably not even be able to speak!

Embarassed

If it is book it in with your closest Apple store, walk in walk out most likely, one refurbed iPod touch in hand Smile

Yeah you're probably all right! We dont have an apple store anywhere near us so its going back to crapple to be looked at.

It charges from a wall charger fine, wont charge from anything else though. Gave it to a mate today to try it on his computer (in case it was my shitty dell laptop that was in need of being shot-putted over the back fence0 and it wouldnt work on his either.

So I'll sit patiently and wait for my return parcel.
