A Cat and Fiddle Cafe ?

I am seriously planning on opening a Cafe at the Macclesfield end of the Cat & Fiddle, "The Cat Cafe" :- https://www.sportsbiking.co.uk/catcafe.html
What I would like to get, is an indication of is how many, "potential", clients I could expect ?
It is important to me as I, as some of you may know, have had a life changing off. It has meant that I can no longer get paid employment. I do one day per week voluntary work, for the Macclesfield Disability Bureau. My pockets are NOT filled with insurance pay outs either. So I AM taking a BIG risk.
I am NOT looking to make money everything WILL be cheap, COST WISE !
I was also thinking of incorporating a, free to use, workshop. Where people could come and get help with their Bike maintenance.
I would be grateful if you could simply post a yes or no, as to whether you might frequent it.

Insurance will be difficult on the workshop idea. You won't make much money in the winter.

bit too far away from me, and to be honest - if i was heading over that way, i'd most likely want to go to the cat and fiddle anyway... also, cant see a point in having a "free to use" garage / workshop, as surely if someones bike wasn't running properly or needed work in a workshop... then the bike would be in an actual workshop and not being ridden??

Just to throw another spanner in the works, you say you will not be wanting to make anything out of it.

Re-think that very carefully, even if you are not 'earning' out of it but are, time wise, committed to this venture, that could very well have an adverse effect on some of your benefits. Probably not DLA and mobility but certainly some of the others !

Has the C&F Inn shut down or something? I'd rather go the pub, than what will become a scruffy cafe with plastic table clothes even if I'm only drinkin coffee. Seems daft to me. Half the point of riding the C&F is to stop at the pub on the top.

Best bet would be a catering trailer. All a lot of people want when out for a blast is a quick cuppa and an egg & bacon sarnie. Get a feel for demand that way, then decide if a permanent presence is worth it.

yep, catering trailer would be the best bet I would have thought. business rates will kill you in a cafe.
