Hi,

I did my first Trackday last Monday, and I cant wait to do another one! Is there any sort of servicing/prep that needs to be done before the day and what should be done after. For example my friend seems to think that the oil needs to be changed after every trackday as it gets so hot!

My bike has also started to make a tapping noise as i let out the clutch and speed up slowly since leaving the track on Monday. It was making a similar noise before i had it serviced and i was told that something to do with the rear wheel was loose. I have no idea what it might be this time though. Does anyone have any ideas??

Thanks
Tom

At a minimum, check the following:

Arrow Tyres
Arrow Chain & Sprockets, just check condition and tension
Arrow Oil (just check the level), take some spare with you as the engine will be working harder
Arrow Remove or tape up your mirrors
Arrow Check all "fixtures & fittings" are secure (e.g. fairings)

Are you riding to the trackday?

If you can, take some basic tools with you, something to sit on (deck chair), some extra fuel (depending on track you will use a lot) and plenty of fluids to drink (especially if it's hot)

More importantly, just listen to the briefing at the beginning of the day and enjoy yourself.

I personally change the oil every two-three trackdays, I think changing it any more reguarly is overkill (and expensive).
