Got myself a tarty new phone and would like to unlock it if possible, but not bothered enough to pay.

Anyone know anywhere I can get a free unlock code from?
Tried google and popular torrent sites, to no avail.

Seems a pretty nice phone, by the way.

I very, very nearly bought one this week as it was a toss up between it, the n97 and the w995. I don't like symbian software and didn't want a 18+ month contract so went for a W995 instead. (£90, £35pm for 12m)

I realise this post doesn't help you but............ Razz

Not aware of any software hacks as of yet, it's a bit too new. As of last saturday, none of the large chains had it in their product range. Only online retailers.

2 minute job if it's running windows mobile which it will being a HTC.

I'll get some links tomorrow if you've not allready sorted it.

It just involves running 2 small apps on the phone. 1 to let you use unsigned apps and then a second to unlock it.

Vodaphone could do you one from their shop, but had to order it in. The one I got was all officially Orange branded (£25pm, £80 for phone, 18months by the way.)

I just had another google for stuff. Tried some for the HTC touch, but that didn't work, so a link would be cool Thumbs Up; no great hurry.
