hello everyone,

I turned 15 a couple of months ago and right away made a license and bought a bike, my beast Derbi Gpr 50(50 cc). I already got it de-restricted but i would like to know what other parts i could buy to raise the performance of my bike?(Budget= Unlimited)

attach pedals.... work out a lot!

Its a 50cc scooter, my freind.

Even if you supercharged it, added nitreose oxide injection and full tear-drop streamliner fairing.......

A fit bloke on a pedal cycle could probably still go faster!

I know you are working in a second language.... something I couldn't do..... but look up 'Futile' in the dictionary!

If you want to go faster, get a bigger bike.

If you cant have a bigger bike becouse of licence restrictions....

Buy a pedal cycle..... work out!

(College mate of mine was a Cat 2 tour rider. Paced him on a pedal bike at 70mph.....(approx 100Km/h) he also used to out accelerate me from traffic lights!)

Sensible enough answer for you?

Assuming you are in the UK....

Do you really want to start your biking life with a ban and black mark on your licence....
Remember insurance is expensive enough now... Just see how much it will be when you have points or a ban... That ban will have to be reported for 10 years......

Take this 1st year at 31mph as a learning curve to master the art of bike control and reading the road to make the most of what you have got.
Making it go faster will only lead to trouble and possibly not being able to make it to 17......

+1 mate. At 16 I had the option of getting a moped. Instead I got a road racing cycle, much to the disgust of my boy racer friends, and I've spent the past years working out and using it as my transport EVERYWHERE. People call me insane 'cos it's not their cup of tea but I can get a good 35mph+ and it costs me NOTHING to run, insure, tax, etc.

Meaning I'm saving a hefty amount for bike/restricted licence/bigger bike Wink.

I knew a guy with one of them NRG scooters.

He had that fucker on it's back wheel more times than I care to remember.

Respectable wheelies too, not overenthusiastic lunges.

Tbh mate as your first bike the Derbi will be plenty fast just de-restricted.
I've had my Derbi Senda for a year and a half and it's plenty quick enough for me to get around on, even now.
Get used to the road before you start tuning it.
