would you drive to a biker party if raining?

would you ever turn up for an event a week early and wonder where every one is ( yup done that one Embarassed )

People who turn up in a car then put leathers on to wonder around are just gay tarts and are really really laughable.

If it's raining and I wanted to go to a meet, then I'd still go, but I doubt there'd be many people there if it's raining Laughing

Answer 1 - no, because (a) how silly and (b) I don't have a car licence.

Answer 2 - no - see (b) above.

Answer 3 - no - someone buy Aqualung a diary. Rolling Eyes

Answer 1 - no, even I'm not that much of a tart. If I turn up in a car, I'll be in jeans and tshirt

Answer 2 - not just because it's raining, but maybe if it was far away.

Answer 3 - no, but I have completely forgotten about things and not turned up at all.

1. No, if I go on the bike, I wear the gear (and waterproofs if necessary). If I go in the car, I go as a "car driver".

2. Probably not, I don't mind getting changed when I get there into dry stuff.

3. Hopefully not.

To be honest, the all-weather-commuter in me says just live with it. You can get waterproofs, and clothes dry. Very Happy

hmm, mixed feelings here.

Would I go to a bike rally in the car? No, although I have been to one where I drove the car to the nearest town, then got picked up by a mate to ride into the rally as my bike was f*cked - does that count? And I've not got any leathers so that bit isn't an issue!

Would I go to a biker party in the car? Depends. If its a very long way, or crap weather, yes, and I have. if it meant I could fit 4 more bikers in the car so they could drink even if I stayed on soft drinks, most definitely - ditto going in someone else's car so I can drink & they can take me home!

Last question - no, but I know a man who has! And I have got all packed & ready for an event only to find it happened last week on the odd occasion! Embarassed

Haha Laughing , you would be so uncomfortable as well...

Put on some riding clothing, like i dunno, alpinestars t-shit, Honda cap or something. Thats if you feel you, A. HAVE to let everyone know you are a biker, and B. you like advertising other companies for free.

Personally I would not like doing both a, or b. Whats the point?

If I had a car (which occasionally I do own one - although not at the moment, having had a disagreement with a concrete lamp post on the North Circular before Xmas), I certainly wouldn't ever turn up in a car, hide it and lug my lid and jacket about to pretend I had arrived on a bike. But (if I had a car) and was carting mates about, which I have done in the past, I might well again turn up at a bike event with a car.

I only have one jacket, its 20 years old, doesn't fit properly any more, and everyone's nagging me to get a proper fitting one, but it is part of "me" ... and it goes EVERYWHERE with me, no matter whether I am in the car or on the bike. So I would have my jacket, but I don't have "proper" leathers (and certainly not colour-co-ordinated matching ones, LOL)

And I might well chuck my lid in the back on the off-chance I needed to get on someone else's bike to go somewhere.

Yes. But it would depend on the circumstances. If I had decided to ride my bike to the party/rally and it started raining as I left, then I would still ride my bike and just put a change of clothes in with me. If it was belting down and I hadn't yet packed the bike (as much as I ever "pack the bike", LOL) ... (and if it was a long way away) then I might well take the car instead.

Nah, not done that yet Rolling Eyes

No... I enjoy riding bikes. I don't enjoy walking around in leathers.
If people don't want to think of me as a 'proper' biker 'cos I use my car, then that's not my problem.

If I'm going to a party or rally or whatever, I'm going to enjoy the event. So if the best way to get there is a car, I'll take the car, if it's by bike, I'll take a bike.
As above, I ride a bike because I enjoy riding a bike and it gets me from A to B quickly. If I don't need to get there quickly and I'm not doing it to enjoy the riding, I don't have a problem using the car.

No.
