i divided by CBR into more bits this morning, was a little bored

i found that is has a K&N, would it be fair to assume that the previous owner has changed the jetting to match, or would it be fairer to assume he was just a tart and whacked it in there for no apparent reason apart from the K&N sticker, surely a K&N could never be warranted without a race exhaust

i already have a brand new OE replacement, which should i use?

does the K&N change the sound of the airbox? as last time i rode it i was enjoying the growl

Hi

Don't really think the jetting of a K&N is that critical. Yes they make a difference, but they are not really that much better. Main advantage is that they can be cleaned, and so it is easier to buy one of those for the life of the bike than trying to get hold of air filters for a grey import on a regular basis (main reason I have one in the Bimota).
