Yer was only the first time, I just plonked it on some blue tac on my indicater then tape. Blue tac to stop the shake.

If it was slightly lower then it would be better.

Wasn't that interesting a video since it was so windy so you could get your knee down going it a straight line lol so had to slow down.

It was a caravan they were stuck behind and had probably been waiting to overtake for ages and didn't anticipate you being there, especially since you steamed up behind them...any anger would be 'more' understandable if it was the focus driver as he should have seen you coming from the distance but the peugeot driver couldn't until the last moment when you were already overtaking the blue car.

Hopefully not coming across as a 'you were wrong' post but a 'you're responsible for your own life, take it easy dude' reply.

Yer that why I didn't have a "Throbing bastard tries to kill me" type post, because when I watched it I was think I was maybe a bit at fault.

It's a good vid which shows a frequent hazard which 'we' need to particularly watch for.

Can't really blame the car driver too much as generally vehicles would overtake one at a time as they come up behind the slow thing, that isn't saying the bike manoeuvre was wrong, just that when overtaking several cars at once you really need to watch for one going for the quick overtake like that.

i tend to use the entire other side of the road, move right across when overtaking many cars like that, there's nothing coming, and it's perfectly legal and safe to use the other side

Again, not blaming you, because the guy shouldn't have pulled out - but overtaking several cars in succession is a risky game that you shouldn't play if you follow the "they're all idiots out to kill me" rule of motorcycling.

You'll note that the driver did what most drivers did - indicated at the same time as changing lanes - which is a meaningless pretence at being observant. An indicater is pointless once the car is moving laterally because there is no longer anything to "indicate". POint of an indicater is to indicate and leave enough time for a reaction, if you indicate whilst moving, it's not indication but declaration: "this is what I am doing, not this is what I would like to do". Rant over.

I HATE road users who indicate as they manoeuvre, rather than before. This idiot even indicated as he moved back in. I bet he felt he had done nothing wrong. I would have been tempted to follow him until I had the chance to say that was caught on camera and would he like also like a copy when you send it to the old bill?

Correct: MIRROR - SIGNAL - MANOEUVRE

Usual: MANOEUVRE - SIGNAL

Maybe if the mirrors aren't being used they should be removed.
