My gran was showing me pics of my late uncles motorbike that he had when I was a baby. Just wondering what Kawasaki it was, I couldnt make it out from the name on the side.

Since it doesn't have spoked wheels, I'm guessing it's the B1, too Smile

There has to be a Smart-Arse, dont there!
DVLA Vehicle Enquirey revealed this from the Reg-No:-

Quote:
The enquiry is complete

The vehicle details for ASF 519W are:

Date of Liability 01 11 1988
Date of First Registration 17 03 1981
Year of Manufacture 1981
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 652CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour BLUE

Z1 / Z900 was 903cc I bel;ieve, so suggestion is it was a Z650

Quick Google:-

https://www.bikez.com/pictures/kawasaki/1978/14876_0_1_2_z%20650_Image%20credits%20-%20Geir%20Ove%20Hauglund.jpg
78 Model has Z1/900 style tank & cycle-parts but spoked wheels.

https://www.bikez.com/pictures/kawasaki/1979/17249_0_1_2_z%20650%20c_Benjamin%20Wyatt.jpg
79 Model has the 'Lawson' era Z1000 'slab' tank, cast wheels and twin discs

Didn't list an 81 model, 82 & 83, had pics of customised examples....

Specs are correct though 652cc motor. so thats my betting. And the Z1 tank and tail could have been taken from an earlier bike.
