Hey, looking at going touring with the missus, and to keep her happy I was wondering if you could recommend any sub £100 intercoms that you've used.

Cheers! Daz

Look for a second hand autocom on e-bay. They are very good. You can have music and sat nav too! Smile

quick question for those that are browsing - which headsets will work with the active plus? there's a lot of super pro headsets and the only difference i can see is the noise canceling feature, will these work with my version? if not which of the new headsets (2009 model) can i use?

Best bet is to give autocom a call if you are unsure. They will give you the part number you need and they ship out very quickly if you buy direct. I got a GPS lead the next day from them, they identified my issue, the part to fix it all in 2 mins!

I've used Autocom (Now owned by Starcom) for years, good bit of kit.
I've just bought some in ear speakers. Wearing earplugs meant I had to have the volume set quite high, which meant I could hear her, but my voice was always a bit distorted to her, being averse to earplugs.

Trying the kit out this weekend, but setting it up (with us both stood by the bike with helmets on, but the bike seat off Smile ) I've turned the volume down from max. to near minimum. Hopefully this will improve things.

You want these for an Active Plus:

The bloke who runs this site also knows his stuff - probably better than most of the Autocom people that are left!
