Rossi Back on a Bike!

How do they heal so quickly? I broke my leg in the same place as Rossi and took 8 weeks before I was back on a bike, and even then, it was very painful and hard to ride! These guys must have some seriously good doctors working on them for it to heal so quickly! It will be good to see him return to MotoGP so quickly if he's fully mended! He was quick in testing on the WSB spec bike, even with a broken leg!

A lot of it must be the doctors.. Even if you have private healthcare you dont get the dedication these guys do.

I believe Dorna and the other sponsors pay top money to keep some really good docs about for these incidents.

Again though, i think it comes back to money. Rossi off a bike must mean someone is loosing out somewhere, so getting him back in the seat as quickly as possible has a financial impact, that impact may well feed back to him as well.

Whether or not the doctors get people back on the bike because they can need to satisfy bosses, rather than based on the rider being fully fit is another matter.

Guys like Rossi know the deal with this sport though, and looking back through several of them have rode with bad injuries. I've top respect for the guys that ride, but I feel the motives of the business behind it push them further at times.

A broken leg can still be felt a good 6 months afterwards during the healing process. Rossi is mental.

It is a short time but that is the benefit of having your own medical team. If I was to break my leg tomorrow no doubt it would be potted up "come back in 6 weeks and we will have a look".
However if I have a doctor seeing me daily, assessing the injury coupled with a physio pushing you to the max at each stage and a super fit body that heals fast, it is not surprising the recovery is so short.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him wear a protective/supportive boot of some kind and only do the minimum laps needed.

I do think he will be well fucked if he comes off again.....
