Getting board of my GSXR, I just find it lacking. I took the wifes SV out for a spin tonight and that felt more fun. I think I need to get myself another enduro and go and get muddy again, might keep me satisfied for a few months |

I find my KLX much more fun on the road than the SV650 or Bandit 650. You may do too!
Maybe that's because they are restricted! . ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

That might help with acceleration and thus the excitement levels. ____________________ meh |

Either the tyres and suspension on your gixxer are fucked, or you're a straight line hero too! [/quote]
Why? because I find it more exciting ridding and more often then not falling off a 300cc 2 stroke enduro, then risking my licence, on the road.? |

I have to say that off-roading -powered or pedalling- is great. It's just a pity that there so few places to do off-road motorbiking responsibly around here.
I really like riding motorbikes, especially on twisting, mountain and forest roads, but controversially, I think that mountain biking on good terrain can provide more fun/hour than motorbiking on the majority of roads (traffic, speed limits, hazards) around here (Manchester)
MTB is more like doing a track day, no need to watch your speed, no traffic (apart form the odd walker) and a lot of technical challenge. It's also much more discrete off-road than a motorbike.
I wouldn't say no to a more powerful 'does-it-all' bike, but having ridden on the roads with a lot of other people, I've realised that above a certain power/weight ratio (say a mid-sized 650 twin) it makes b*gger all difference in reality.
Track day riding is obviously a different thing, but it costs. ____________________ TDM850

An SV more fun than a gixxer? You should be ashamed of yourself. Unless it's because it's naked then you're forgiven. |
