Ignition Question

right, from the wiring diagram i can work out that, my ignition has three wires, batt, ignition and fan

it appears, that in the on position all three wires are joined, and in the off and lock position no wires are joined

simple enough right?

my question is, can i use any honda ignition that shares this 3 wire system, for example, this one from www.wemoto.com that is labelled CBR600 but looks distinctly similar to my CBR400 one and also is only three wires..?

Yes mate you can fit most things, in fact you can just take the top off your ignition with part with the key in and then use the top off another one if its the same design as sometimes the wires are different, or you can re-wire them not rocket science.

Just take teh top off and tie wrap it then you can turn the plate and turn the bike on ect i did that for months, simply unplugging it when i got off
