Hello all,
One thing I'm having trouble with as a new biker is my helmet lifting at high speed. I'm ok up to 65 but as I get faster it seems that the windscreen on my ZZR channels the air underneath my helmet and it starts to lift.
I've tried a smaller helmet for fit but the next size down squeezes my face an uncomfortable amount, my current helmet squeezes my face but a comfortable amount.
Any suggestions, or is this something I'll have to live with

I bet your current lid doesn't fit properly. I reckon the size down would have had different cheek pads available to fit to it that make it fit your face better. Comfort isn't the overriding factor, but fit is.
If you can fit your head into a smaller lid, then the likelihood is your current lid is too large. Put it on your head but don't do up the strap. Try to move it left and right on your head. How far does it turn? put your chin against your chest and try to pull the lid forwards/downwards off of your head. If it does, its too large.
If the lids you tried didn't fit, try another make or model or something. It sounds to me like you were desparate to get onto the road and you bought the first lid that you tried...

..also a double bubble screen would help with the airflow, if you don't have one already.

Thanks for the advice. I've got a large at the moment and can get a medium on, although it squeezes my face a little. I think I'll go and try different sizes/models on ...

There's a lot of difference between brands, everyone's heads are different shapes, it's no wonder it can be tricky.
I have an old one I used on bike in the 80s which seemed OK at the time, sometimes use it on quadbike now especially if it's raining - then I wonder how on earth I put up with it, limited vision and wobbling about all over the place.
I did have more hair then though.  |

I'm suffering from the same problem.
My AGV K3 was very snug when I bought it but now, at high speeds it is lifting and wobbling a bit. This is on a naked bike mind you but I do think I'll be investing in a new one before long
