The Lakes.

The Lake District.

Been planning a camping trip with the missus for the while and we have both had our hearts set on the lakes, but......The weather looks like its going to be wet and windy all week which has laid a seed of doudt in my mind. Having to ride on any roads in wind and rain is a pain so im dreading some of the roads in the lakes, that coupled with the fact that im a new rider worries me. Also the bad weather will take away a lot of the beauty of the lakes too.

Would it still be worth going despite the weather being garbage?

Where else is good for a camping trip a little further south where the weather looks likely to be better?

If you dont feel comfortable riding in those conditions then dont, especially with your missus on the back that could end badly.... you'll never hear the end of it Laughing

I was just hoping for at least one good day you see lol.

Im ok with them conditions but with the type of roads in the lakes and with her on the back too it cast doudt.

Maybe save it 'til next weekend, you can take in the Barbon Hillclimb near Kendal. Among other big names racing are John McGuiness and Dave Knight, and you can come and give me a wave. Very Happy

Next place further south is Wales. Not sure if the weather will be any better though.

Not sure where you are but you could try the New Forest if you want somewhere nice for camping in the South.
