So.. passed my test a few weeks ago, and have been looking for a cheap bike since.. Que many days of scrolling through ebay and different sites.. came across this little.. scruffy gem Very Happy

£250, taxed and Mot'd will next year, under 22k miles on it, new brake pads all round, new chain and sprockets. Runs like a dream, pulls like a train :DDD Couldnt be more chuffed.. and after coming of a 125 CG.. feels pretty powerful too.

Does need an all round clean up.. bits of rust here and there, but was well kept by last owner.

But.. was giving it a run yesterday.. and the throttle cable snapped (it has two..) Lucky.. wasnt to far from home.. so pushed it Rolling Eyes Very Happy Ordered a new set off David silvers Razz

It's like 2 cg engines stuck together, so it will feel powerful if you're used to just the 1 Wink

Looks absolutely spot on to me!
If i'd seen that for that price i'd have snapped it up too Shocked

It's a honda cb250.

There is most likely nothing wrong with it. I got a cb125 for £250 as my first bike and that was fine. 125's are often expensive for what they are as they are in demand from learners. 250's aren't desirable as those that can ride them normally want something bigger. As a sensible post test first bike, winter bike, commuter bike they are perfect. Engine is reliable and well built, they are quick enough for long distance riding, small enough to throw around a bit though the handling is by no means sports bike like.

Its a CB250NA Very Happy its not much, but has more then twice the power of the CG.. so its not bad Very Happy

It was on ebay, but we went round to look at it, previous owner was this awesome old guy, and he offered it to us Very Happy so took the offer.

He was selling it because his little garage was packed, and he planned on doing a bit of touring on a mint looking cx500 he had in there, so didnt need it Very Happy

But for what it is, works brilliantly, im well pleased

Liking that, wish my 250 had some chrome (and cost a tenth of the price).

Thumbs Up
