extended test!

Hi I wonder if you can help me?

I committed a driving offence back in 1996 while driving a car, then in 2006 I passed my Direct Access I was really chuffed about it and bought myself a nice big bike was on the road for about 6 weeks when I got done for the offence I committed years earlier. I got excluded from driving for 5 years but after an appeal in court my licence was reinstated in 30 months and I was told that I would have to take an extended driving test. I have now takern my extended test in a car and my driving licence was delivered today.

I have just noticed that the driving licence is the same licence number as the original one that I had passed my first driving test back in 1991 and on top of that on the back of the card licence it has a motorbike category and the pass date that I passed my motorbike test back in 2006.

My question is does this licence qualify me to ride bigger bikes that are over 125cc and without Lplate?

10 years is a long time after the offence to be done for it! Care to elaborate (sounds like it will make a good story).

What does it say on your paper part?

A1? A2? A?

edit: I don't think they ever say A2 but as your photocard doesn't have the restriction on it, A would be full licence and A1 would be provisional.

I would guess that you have A because when you lose your licence, doing one test will get you back all your previous entitlements.

i think, please correct me if im wrong, that if it was a car offence then once you have done the ban and redone your extended test the al entiltements are restored??? i think so. if u have catergory A then buy yourself whetever you like.

You where banned twice for the same thing

Yes you can ride an size bike , when banned you only need
to take 1 test to get all your entitlements back.

Most people opt to resit the bike test as opposed to the car
test as it's easer.

If the back of your photocard has the 'A' category, you've got the full motorcycle entitlement.

Interested to know what it was you got done for now, with it being the same thing you had already been done for.

I was reading fight back forums and some numpty had been clocked by a speed camera doing 40 in a 30, the turned around and got clocked again going back past it? How the fuck do you manage that.
