Its time i got around to getting a dark visor for my Arai Viper GT, as my shoei one wont fit it Sad
Where is good for genuine visors?
Riders offshore is the cheapest i've found one at £39.99 but it doesn't say if its a genuine Arai one. Anyone delt with them? any ideas if they sell OE or knock offs?

Another Thumbs Up for RaceVisors.
I had my black AGV visor from them for £26. Can't fault their quality!!

Have a look at thevisorshop.com ...aka Crossan Motorcycles.
l got my Viper GT a couple of years ago from them with free! dark visor. l just got a Shoei mutitec from them last week with more freebees! dark visor,aniti-fog lens & whisper kit ooh er.
Seen it ,ordered it,postie delivered it on both occasions top service. The fact that both Arai & Shoei both fit my bonce perfectly is a worry tho!, "you've got a head like a whalnut whip" as me old mum used to say Thumbs Up Laughing

https://stores.ebay.co.uk/visor-geezer

i recently bought an Arai visor from this guy.... sells genuine and after-market.... i bought a copy and its fine (after all its only a piece of plastic)

On another note I will never buy another Arai helmet again as its a complete and utter cunt to change the visor...

My Mrs was laughing at me as she watched me struggling to slot in the new visor so i gave it to her to try it...she slotted in one side first go and then proceeded to bust one of the side pods on the other side... cue another 20 notes for a new set ... couldn't get it the Haga colour scheme so had to settle on black ..
anyway eventually got the visor on but it the most fucked up mechanism ever designed and i'm never again going to touch it .... do a search on the internet and its not that un-common to snap the side-pods when changing the visor... if i were you i would just buy the dark tint stickers

I've only ver used Arai lids, and have done for 3 years. And I concur, the visor mechanism is absolute shit. It's just needlessly complicated. I can never get both sides in at once, so do one at a time.

I too have broken a sidepod, luckily it was when removing a useable visor from my old crash wrecked Chaser. Was still rather naffed off though, I really liked that lid, hence I was keeping it...

The whole idea of clip on side pods is pants tbh. They just add another leading edge, which causes extra noise. If / when I have to get a new lid, I will give some serious consideration to trying on some other brands.

I do like the ventilation if offers though, and the fit and comfort is spot on.

Race Visors are consistantly cheaper than visor shop for the same stuff.

I've used have for all of my dark visors. Always got quality service and quick delivery.
