The 50th Percy Duff Barbon Hill Climb

This very popular event will run to a very similar format to last year with two practice runs, three timed runs and the end of day shootout. We will take the fastest 15 riders over the timed runs, and they will be eliminated down to three over several runs, prize money to the top three. Gates will open at 9-00am and the entrance fee will stay at the same price of £8 for adults, concessions £5 and under 16's free. Two up on a bike is £15 Inc programme, programmes are £2.

Lakeland Radio are broadcasting live from the event between 10-00am and 2-00pm, with attractions for all the family including Bouncy Castle and Quad Rides within an inflatable fence. Catering, drinks and Ice Cream available all day, as well as a Homemade Cake, Biscuit and Produce Stall, we also have some very special riders attending and some yet to confirm.

D3 KTM Supermoto team of Craig Venske, George Clement and Team boss Neil Crayston are confirmed, as are the Moto Supplies Husqvarna Supermoto team of Matt Winstanley, Finn Sami Sastola and 14yo sensation, Malachi Mitchell-Thomas. (Matt took part in round 3 of the Northern California Xtreme Outlaws event, at the Grand Sierra Resort, Reno, on the 18-20th June as an invited rider, this is a purpose built track with bridges and has a super cross style, Matt rode really well and only just missed out on the win in both races, finishing a close 2nd each time) all these guys recently raced at Silverstone in the British Supermoto Championship alongside the Moto GP boys who were also racing there.

Definately riding is 2 time world enduro champion David Knight who will ride his super fast KTM 570 and his very special KTM Super Duke 900 twin... He brings along Danny McCanney on the Gas Gas also from the Isle of Man, who is a very quick up and coming rider from British Championship Schoolboy MX who is now a leading light in Enduro racing in the UK, Keep an eye here for updated and confirmed details....

Feel free to take this info and use it to promote Barbon wherever you feel..... A full days fun for all the family, with many stars of the bike world in attendance both riding and spectating, for the autograph hunter.... Post Code for Satnav LA2 2LJ (the Barbon Inn)

...I'm not connected to the event, but I will be racing in it this year for the first time. It's the 50th running of the hill climb and the club are celebrating their centenary this year, so it should be an excellent day. Practice starts at 9 am with two practice runs, then three competitive runs, then the Top 10 shootout at the end. If you go, give me a wave, I'm on Number 41.

Harley
