Tax disc stolen again

Sorry for not listening your advices.
I bought another one a month ago when it was nicked...

Went for a holiday for two weeks and left the bike in luton airport's bike park. Tax disc wasn't there when I get back. Lucky the bike was Rolling Eyes

Mm I was lucky in that mine was broken off (either by me without me noticing or by someone else-I assume by accident) but when I went to my bike I found it sitting on top of the seat.
It now gets kept under the seat.

Unlucky mate at least now you have learnt your lesson =]

I kept the tax for the zxr under the seat. Might be worth giving that a go mate.

I use a colour photocopy if I'm leaving the bike un-attended for long periods, with a bit of road grime on the plastic cover the only way you can tell it's not genuine is if you take it from the holder, I keep the real one in my wallet.

I couldn't leave my bike in an unsecure place for 2 weeks without worrying about it being stolen.

I would guess that a airport car park is more secure than the average place you park your bike at home....
Due to security it will be covered by cctv and protrolled on a regular basis.

I would simply copy the disk and leave that on the bike.

I personally can't even leave my bike locked up on my mates driveway behind his car while i'm in the living room about 3m away without constantly looking out checking on it. Although I do class myself as paranoid. IMO, an airport carpark SHOULD be secure enough to prevent things like that happening, it's the airport at fault. Bloody disgrace!

Airport at fault ffs.

If someone ram raids their barries in a tranny van to get the bike, it's the OP's fault for leaving it there and the theifs fault for taking it.

If it was left on my drive for 2 weeks and icked, I'd not be taking any responsibility for it - your choice to leave it there.

Get loads of coloured photocopies and laminate them. Cut them out and you have plenty of tax discs to go around. I've done mine like this for years and never had any trouble with them.

M.O.T disc theft is a constant problem here in N.I as they are worth more than a tax disc and much easier to alter.

What thieves need our tax discs for? They are for registered by us vehicles only.

But ANPR will still pick up on the non taxed bike

Very few police forces have ANPR on the mainland, the best method is the system they use in R.O.I were you must display your tax, mot and insurance details on your widscreen or on holders on the bike. I must display my mot and tax discs at all times in N.I so the fancy electronics are not really needed.
