Just SORN'd the beastie. I have lost the buzz and I guess it happens to the best of us. I now have me a bicycle and the mo'bike has just been a plaything for a while and there is a host of things I want to do to it to get it a bit more sparkly again - so watch out for a truly amateurish Show & Tell in the coming weeks.

Anyone been in the same boat, so to speak? How long did you last?

It certainly isn't because I have tamed the bloody thing. It always has a way of reminding you that you aren't as good as you think you are.

Now it is a toy it only seems to come out now and again and even then it goes to the same places. I know I have a small amount of say in where it actually goes to, but it always seems to be Brighton, Eastbourne or a quickie down to Box Hill.

My mate has offered to go out on the bicycles with me on a nice sunny weekend. Fret not though, I told him to fuck right off.

Maybe giving it a bit of TLC whilst it is off the road will get the buzz back. If not, maybe a swap is in order?

I'm feeling the same, it's not through lack of enjoyment but the cost of motorcycling as a hobby. Don't get me wrong I can afford it but having become a home owner in the last 8 months I'm always thinking 'All of that money I'm throwing at bikes would look allot better in the bank, building up for a deposit on a bigger house'. I've recently got into cycling, it's allot cheaper, keeps me fit and I find it quite rewarding (a pint after 20 miles in the saddle tastes like no other).

Blade: Serious.

RD350: Not serious. Fun for a quick blast. Don't feel like you've got to do major mileage, cheaper to insure etc.

Even a GP100 can be more fun than a serious bike IMO.

I have more fun riding the xr125 than riding the R1 alot of the time. Maybe its time you send the beat to track where it belongs and go for a smaller (but more fun) bike for the road.
