Im looking for a new helmet, and Ive got my eye on a Suomy Spec 1R Extreme, 1250 grams so nice and light, I was just wondering if anyone has one? They look really good aswell. The problem Im having is trying to find a UK dealer for them, where I can go and actually try one on! I dont mind ordering off the internet, but I want to try one on first! Also, if anyone has got one, how is comfort and wind noise?

Heres the one I want, if anyone knows where to get it in the UK please let me know!

I'm tempted to buy one in a medium without trying it on, and see if I can send it back if it doesn't fit!

Apparently the sizes are a big tighter than Arai, but my Arai is a medium and a little on the loose side.

Yeah not much you can lose out on, apart from P&P but that's only a few quid.

Also check their return policies as some charge a restock price

Given that they share a similar design, I'd wager the wind noise will be just as bad as most Arai Sad I've been leaning towards Shark for my next lid personally.

Apparently the wind noise is pretty bad, but you can do something to the visor mechanism to quieten it down, but not to sure how true that is. To be honest, wind noise isn't really something that bothers me to much, Id much rather have less weight and more wind noise, and at 1250 grams its the lightest helmet I know of! My Arai chaser isn't a quiet helmet, but its not something that bothers me. Also, they look like the have a huge visor on them, which is something I like, sometimes when tucked with my Arai, all I can see is the top of the helmet!

Its actually 40 grams heavier then the Suomy belive it or not Razz

The Suomy Spec 1R Exteme is the lightest helmet on the market at the moment.

I know it shouldn't be one of my main concers, but I really don't like the designs of the Shark helmets, but I love the Suomy it looks really good. Of course this is the last thing I look at when buying a helmet, but its a bonus that the Suomy is so light and also looks good.

Anyone found anywhere that stock the Extreme?

I have an old Suomy, Explorer Poggliali rep I think, was going to order the same size in the extreme from the states if i couldnt find a UK dealer.

Over £100 cheaper to order it from the USA, plus that place doesnt have the anthracite one.

Just need to try one on somewhere now!

Shocked God forbid you try a Corsair then! The Chaser was hugely quieter than my current Corsair!
