A2 restriction period over

I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I passed my A2 test 2 years ago and since then have ridden a YBR125. Due to cost i've decided to wait until the 2 year restriction is up before looking for a bigger bike.
My driving licence now needs to be updated to show my new entitlement, but will this happen automatically or do I need to apply(and therefore pay) for it to be done??

I didn't bother sending mine off until I changed my address, 2 years after my restriction was up. It'll automatically update on the computer, so I wouldn't worry.

No need to change your licence. Everyone looking at your licence will see that 2 year period is over.

Your licence will be changed automatically once you send it to DVLA to change address or name. If you want to have restriction removed for any other reason then you will have to pay for it.

Mine finished at the beginning of this month and the only action I will be taking is being a bit less nervous when I see a police car.

just ask a neighbout or parent or mate what ever if you can change licence to there address then change it back to yours simplez

460 Days for me. .

Problem is, I HAVE to be restricted. After the Police let me off no restriction so no insurance + no licence last year they said if they catch me unrestricted again I get the book thrown at me.

So I've counted my blessings and sit with 33bhp. .

You do not need to send you licence in to have it updated. However, you can if you want to, but it'll cost you £20. As said, anyone checking can see that you'v held your licence over 2 years, thus the restriction is no longer valid.

I checked this myself with the DVLA, as my restriction ended in January.
