I can't find any pictures of the lego shuttle I had as a kid (and still have in pieces somewhere) - it did its own sound effects and everything!

Lego is awesome.


I remember when I was a kid and I had a massive castle thing that I built with my sister (mainly me). It was awesome, I had skeletons, knights etc.


And then my mum's maid knocked it down to tidy the room up, when it's the games room And she threw away the manual.




I was so heartbroken

I was never intrested in the bog standard lego.

loved lego techic as a kid though, electric motors and servos/switches/pneumatics/PLC,s etc used to make my own winching and crane systems/water pumps/robotic arms/air ships.


The Space shuttle was one of the biggest all in one kits l had still remeber forgetting to install all the landing gear parts and having to strip down half the model again to sort it.

I took my nephew to the hospital a few months back, and he decided it would be fun to play with the lego. so while we were waiting i decided to go and join in, building a wee plane. I did quite well, actually - was quite an awesome looking plane.

When i went to show him, i realised he wasn't there. he had wandered off earlier to sit down again, and there i was - sitting there on my own playing with the lego in a crowded waiting room. everyone was looking at me.

It was worth it though.

I still have my childhood Lego. Never could bring myself to throw it out. I'd build a stupid little car or something while my dad made a working gearbox. Happy days.
